On June 10, 2023, at the 11th Luzon Jurisdictional Conclave, Congress and Olympics held at Newtown Hotel, Baguio City, Bro. Lance Benedict Bitara won as Champion against 21 contenders in the Ceremony of Lights Ritual Competition.
The Ceremony of Lights is a public ceremony outside of the secret ritualistic work of the Order of DeMolay. It seeks to present the seven cardinal virtues of the fraternity especially to those outside of Masonic bodies. The virtues, symbolized by the candles, is a reminder of the teachings of the Order namely filial love, reverence for sacred things, courtesy, comradeship, fidelity, cleanness and patriotism.
Initiated with both degrees on March 20 2022, Bro. Lance has served as the Treasurer of Jose Abad Santos Chapter No. 1 during Term 2023-A and B.
